什麼是正念?
「正念」是一種時時刻刻的覺察,透過有意識地專注於當下,包括身體動作、感覺心境、念頭想法等,並以開放、好奇、接納、不批判、客觀的態度,迎接內心和腦海此時此刻的體驗及覺察。因此,正念並不是要練習正面思考,而是要觀察、接納現在正在發生的一切。
學習正念的好處
正如運動有益健康,正念減壓的訓練有助於自我調控能力、調節情緒迴路與降低負向情緒(如焦慮、憂鬱)、促進認知功能與自我覺察、強化記憶力與專注能力。越來越多的研究顯示,正念練習能增強大腦前額葉皮質功能,調節杏仁核的情緒反應,活化神經可塑性,甚至可以減緩染色體端粒(telomere)的縮短而延緩老化等等。除此之外,正念有助於調解內分泌系統、抑制交感神經、活化副交感神經、降低血壓、增強免疫力等等,從而改變整體的身心狀態,達到身心平衡狀態。
專注當下就從正念開始
生活中總是充滿各式各樣的壓力,每個人都很難去避免它,既然壓力不可避免,但我們可以選擇改變面對壓力的方式。生活中的任何短暫片刻都可以練習正念,帶著初次見面的心態,溫柔地覺察此時此刻的自己。正念練習重點在於把心放在當下的身心感受上,透過專注在當下的覺察,清楚看到自己面對壓力和挫折時的反應,會逐漸發現許多內在特質與潛能,再將它運用在增進自我照顧、人際關係與工作生活之中,更能學習如何開放地探索自我與他人關係,接受現況以及對事件的想法與感受,提升身心覺知及面對壓力的能力。
