Exercise Time: Correct Walking Postures

Walking is an efficient and cost-friendly way of exercising, but it’s not as easy as it seems. Do you often see people bent over and hunched as they walk? This can cause spinal problems and sore back and waist muscles!

Please observe these four pointers when walking.

1.Walk with a straight back, with your chin in, tummy tucked, shoulders relaxed. Make sure not to slouch or play with your phone.

2.Consciously tuck in your tummy and keep your buttock muscles tight. This can help shape your muscles. Your shoulders need not be at a right angle but should be relaxed in a slightly forward position.

3.Your feet should be in a rolling motion: your heel should touch the ground first, then roll to the tip of your feet, pushing up with your toes. 

4.Your heel should reach the ground first, and your big toe should be the main point of pressure in lifting up your step.


You can be a little different after 50. Be young at heart and you can live an elegant and fulfilling life.
