2018 Christmas Brainstorming Party

2019/01/03 -01:00 PM
Every Christmas, the Evergreen University founded by Stella Matutina Social Welfare Foundation will hold a Christmas party for those over the age of 50. The goal is to activate the brain and delay the ageing process by playing board games. Live a happy old age and celebrate Christmas together!

2018/12/23 “Christmas Brainstorming Party” is over. On the day of the event, our guests had the chance to play many different types of board games, for example, Zicke Zacke Huhnerkacke, Crush Ice, Ice Cream Tower, Club 2%, etc. With the help of student volunteers, the participating elderlies get to experience the fun of these board games. One of the guests went and tried out each and every task and had so much fun! She’s in such a good shape that it’s almost impossible to tell that she’s already 93!

In addition, there was the exciting Rummikub competition. Nearly a hundred elderlies participated in this event, sitting side by side playing Rummikub. However, the point of the competition is not to win nor to compete with one another, but to have fun, activate the brain, and delay ageing. The elderlies were all young at hearts, they also invited their friends to join this annual event.

Who says only young people can enjoy board games? As long as you are young at heart and willing to learn, regardless of your age, you can live a fun and interesting life during old age!
